Second Skin custom wetsuits are the only serious choice for those who refuse to compromise on quality, materials & design.  They are designed by Andy Schollick who caught his first wave on a wooden belly board at the age of ten in 1959. He started surfing seriously in 1968 and on leaving school moved from his home in Liverpool to live in the back of a VW van in Croyde, North Devon. He has been hand making wetsuits since the early seventies. The premier range has evolved from the original minimum panel designs pioneered by Second Skin in the seventies.Less panels ensures that the weakest part of any suit, the seams are kept to a minimum. The seams also don't stretch as easily as the material they join, so fewer seams means more strength and freedom. This design has remained virtually unchanged since 1975 and is the most extensively tested and proven on the market. In 1975 Andy designed the first mixed thickness suit, with thicker body and legs for warmth and thinner shoulders and sleeves for freedom. This concept is now the industry standard. This is most effectively done in the shop, where you can try on various sizes and we can make alterations to the suit to achieve an improved fit.
